- Camping in an urban setting by sleeping on rooftops, under bushes, and in public parks
- To camp in front of a building in an urban area. Usually to gain access to a something, such as a concert, a museum, a sporting event, etc.
- To do the above just to annoy someone.

The Crystal Bike Blanket:
Part of San Francisco Arts Commission\'s Art in Storefronts Project, \'The Crystal Bike Blanket\' storefront project highlights the bicycle culture of Market Street in San Francisco and the iconic detritus of what I refer to as \"theft-overs.\" Comprised of bicycle wheels encased in Borax crystals, the installation is an undulating pattern of aesthetically revived used parts suspended within the storefront window. The crystals emphasize the formal qualities of the wheel, but also refer to Market Street\'s illustrious past when it was known as the \"Crystal Palace\". Along the exterior of the installation upon a wrought-iron fence a series of gold-painted u-locks humorously reflect on the leftover bicycle parts that inadvertently decorate city streets post thievery.

The piece addresses issues concerning cultivation and global exportation of indigenous products.';
var madagascarDescription2 = 'Five Sifaka lemur marionettes cast in used coffee grounds and resin are suspended from a 30\' ceiling in positions natural to the arboreal species. The installation addresses effects of deforestation on animal populations, specifically lemurs. Used coffee was employed as a construction material for the environmental consideration in my own production and the fact that it is Madagascar\'s main export, making its cultivation a driving force in the country\'s deforestation.';

The objects are brought into the contemporary again through their encasement in Borax crystals and through their complete denial of function of each object.';
var placeDescription1 = 'The place settings (knife, fork, spoon, plate and cup rings) are created as shallow imprints embedded within the concrete surface. The fragile, yet firmly affixed crystal formations filling the impressions continue to grow and alter as they age, referencing the lingering and compounding conscious and subconscious aspects of familial influence, memory, and expectations of domesticated life, as well as the controlled conditions necessary for development. Each type of crystal has a molecular pattern that is unalterable, but also different from any other type of crystal, which I parallel to genetic inheritance and behavioral patterns created within family units. The physical weightiness of the works invoke feelings of burden and the anthropological discovery of the family dinner table as a fossil from times past that may serve as a desired, unwelcome, or lost mold for the future.';
